Gary E. Fox

Gary E. Fox has been practicing law for over 35 years.  He has substantial experience in all of the practice areas outlined on this website and more.

 

He received his A.B. undergraduate degree from Brown University with honors in 1972 and his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1975.  While in law school he served as Clerk to the Moot Court Board and was responsible for the Board's Judicial Panel for the Finals that included Supreme Court Justice William H. Rehnquist.  He also served as research assistant to Professor Daniel A. Degnan.

 

After law school he clerked for the Honorable Merrit Lane, Jr. who sat as the Chancery, Probate, Prerogative Writ and Assignment Judge during the year of Mr. Fox's clerkship.  Since that time, Mr. Fox has had offices in Monmouth County, as an associate and since 1980 as a partner in a number of firms, both large and small.

 

He is licensed to practice law in the State Court in New Jersey and in the Federal Courts in New Jersey and New York.  Mr. Fox is also a trained mediator.

 

He has been a member of the American Bar Association and the Monmouth Bar Association over the years and has been a member of numerous committees.  He has served as the Chairman of the Monmouth Bar Association Committee dealing with Real Estate Development.  He has also served as a Family Law Early Settlement Panelist for over 13 years.  Mr. Fox has also lectured for ICLE and CLE.

 

The majority of Mr. Fox's current time is spend on Family Law matters, Chancery litigation, business litigation, civil rights litigation, employment law, foreclosures, real estate development, zoning, planning, subdivisions, site plans, construction code, fire code and prerogative writ actions.
