New Jersey Criminal Law

If you have been arrested for a crime, time is of the essence in contacting an attorney. Whether your crime involved a traffic violation, driving under the influence (DUI), felony drug trafficking, or any type of misdemeanor or felony crime, you need aggressive representation and protection of your rights.

At Fox & Melofchik, LLC, we have helped our clients who have been charged with various crimes at the Federal, State, and Municipal court level. Our lawyer will investigate all aspects of your case, including probable cause leading up to the arrest, potentially illegal search warrants, and any issues related to search and seizure issues.

Rights to a Bond

After your arrest, your rights begin with securing a personal recognizance bond, surety bond, or surety bond with a cash option. Not only do you have rights, but you may also have obligations both professionally regarding your job and personally with your family. In a practical and proactive sense, we need you out of jail to gather information more successfully. That will allow our lawyer to develop a successful strategy to win your case whether it involves rape, murder, or negligent operation of a vehicle.

Misdemeanor and Felony Drug Charges

At our firm, we have represented clients charged with everything from simple possession to high-volume drug trafficking. The drug crimes have involved marijuana, methamphetamine (meth), cocaine, and heroin. In investigating your case, we will try to uncover if your stop was unlawful and if the search was unreasonable. If the search warrant was not executed legally, we will bring that to light as well. In the end, the State must prove that your involvement extended beyond being in the presence of the drugs that were found.

White Collar Criminal Offenses

If you have been accused of a white collar crime or regulatory violation, we have the background and resources to help you. We will manage your case with diligence and dedication, while recognizing the need confidentiality and discretion. Our experience also includes handling whistleblower cases, developing innovative strategies with the goal of discrete mediation or aggressive litigation.

Superior Court Litigation

Some Municipal Court matters may be referred to the prosecutor to determine the severity of the allegation, which would remove the case from the municipal court level, bring it to the Superior Court. Personal injury (product liability, car accidents, premises liability, and slip and fall cases), tax appeals, civil rights, condemnation, and estate litigation are all handled at the Superior Court level.

If you have been charged with a crime, you have a right to an aggressive defense from an experienced and knowledgeable attorney. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please contact us. Free Consultation.
